If you didn’t see this game, you missed it!
What a game between The Navel Academy and The Air Force Academy Saturday. It was a close game and was back and forth all afternoon. It took our QB Blake Horvath who played his HS Football at Hilliard Darby here in Central Ohio, to put up 471 yards of total offense going 20 of 26 passing for 339 yards and 3 TDS and rushing for another 140 yards and another TD.
Blake did have some outstanding help from his favorite WR in Eli Heidenreich, who had 8 receptions for 243 yards and caught all 3 passing TDS from Horvath. It did take a field goal with 4:05 left in the game to in order for the Midshipmen to finish off the Falcons 34 to 31.
This leaves Navy still undefeated and top in the American conference for the moment. The balance of their schedule is no walk in the park as they go to Temple, are home against Florida Atlantic, then go to North Texas and Notre Dame before coming home again to face U of South Florida. Then its off to Memphis, then the AC Championship game and finish with of course ARMY.
Tough but not insurmountable.
Go Blake Horvath, who had a great day throwing the ball and that comes from Coach Sink.
