Matt Carlisle from HS to college

Matt Carlisle QB 6’3†195 lbs. Newark Catholic HS, Newark Ohio was voted First Team All-State in his division in the State Of Ohio Sunday for his outstanding performances throughout the season and the playoffs.  Matt, who lead his teams total offense in every game all year taking control of game after game and putting his team on his back and carrying them to the semi-finals of the State Playoffs.

Matt’s stats for the year are Passing, 1756 yards and 21 TDS and only 4 INTS.   His rushing totals are 874 yards and 12 TDS for a total  of 2639 yards of offense and 33 TDS.   Carlisle was also selected as the LCL Offensive Back of the year, and of course 1st Team All LCL, along with being First Team All-District and the Offensive Player of the year in the District.

That is quite a Senior year for anyone but only a young man with a work ethic (one of Coach Sink’s hardest working QBS ever) and talent level of Matt Carlisle can achieve such goals after being sidelined for ½ of his Junior year and the entire spring recruiting period.  Matt is determined and has that IT factor few have to become a great college and maybe beyond QB, so those who are not set better take notice because my opinion is you are not done hearing about Matt Carlisle and his QB brilliance.   Congratulations to a fabulous young man and football player.
