Mark Waid Could not be Stopped ! 39 to 28 Win

Three football players posing for a picture with their coach.

Wow, What an awesome dual threat QB Mark Waid has become.  He is 6’3†210 lbs and just a Junior with incredible stats already before we started this year. He has amassed over 5600 yards passing in 2 years as the signal Caller for the Girard HS Indians.   This year he is doing more of the same with the kind of results in the winning column that matches his performance as the top dual threat QB in the state of Ohio and maybe in the Midwest.   Another stellar outing for Mark as he went 16 of 25 for 185 yards and 2 TDs passing, and that was putting up with a defense that was geared to stop Marky from passing the football.

The one thing that neighboring Rival Hubbard did not count on was Mark has the ability to pack the ball away and run at any moment he exhausts his options to throw.  Run he did!!!  He had 4 rushing TDs, (totaling 6 in the game) again putting the Coach “ P†Indians on his back and literally carrying them to victory while totaling 220 yards of rushing.   A total any Running Back would love to have accumulated any Friday night for their team anywhere in the US.

Now 2-0 Girard after beating 2 back to back Rivals is the front runner for their conference and headed to bigger and better ending than ever before. If you read the site regularly then you already know they won big last week beating Niles 47 to 24 and now defeating Hubbard 39 to 28 gives them the first 2 weeks of the season a big time total of 86 Offensive points.   Mark Waid and the Indians offense are cookin’!!

Already Player of the week last week in NE Ohio, it is now on to face another fierce Rival in a non-conference affair against John F Kennedy HS from Warren.

That is this Saturday at 7 pm so if you want to see a number 1 “D1†prospect in action go visit this game.  Mark Waid and his Girard Indians will be worth the price of the ticket and you will see one of the finest athletes and QBs I have ever coached.   Congrats Mark Waid on a whale of a start, to a for sure, record breaking season.
