After Navy fell behind 14-0 against Tulsa Saturday, Blake Horvath and his buddy Midshipmen turned up the defense and decided to play that lethal combination offense that is pretty difficult to stop, as the Golden Hurricanes found out Saturday. Alex Tecza, FB, got it started with a one-yard dive into the end zone, then Blake Horvath dove into the end zone from the 2, to tie the score 14 apiece. They then picked up their third TD with a pass from Blake to make the halftime score Navy 21, Tulsa 17.
In the third Quarter, Eli Heidenreich, the excellent RB, WR combination, scored a ten-yard run and Tecza got his second TD, after which Navy added one more for a 42 to 23 victory, which brought Navy’s record for the year to 3 and 0.
Passing Blake was 6 for 10 for 94 yards and a TD, and he rushed for 159 yards on 21 carries and another TD. Heidenreich and Tecza both ran for 72 yards apiece.
Do not forget to vote for Blake Horvath for the Prestigeous Davy O’Brien award for the most outstanding QB of 2025. See Below
A great start for Blake Horvath and Navy for the year and I can’t wait to see them next week at home against the Rice Owls.
