Christian Marantis leads JFK to victory in Playoffs

Christian Marantis my 6’0†200 lbs. QB for John F Kennedy HS in Warren Ohio put his team on his back and lead them to victory # 1, in the state playoffs in the midst of a cold, rainy, windy night at Independence HS Alumni Field.   Apparently, no one told Christian he couldn’t throw the ball in that kind of weather so throw it he did.   My senior QB that has been a student for many years knows how to get it done in any weather.

Even his head coach Jeff Bayuk had this to say, “I just thought he played lights out tonight.â€Â Bayuk continued, “ He mad throws tonight, where I was just astounded.â€Â Â    Christian went 9-14 for 152 yards and threw 2 TDS in the first half.   RB Jesse Likens ran for 3 TDS and 163 yards and WR Hollobaugh made 6 receptions for 62 yards and 1 TD.  Christian was in control all night of the offense and if the game plan is consistent from here on Marantis will take them to the final game and maybe win another State title for Bayuk.

Christian is an outstanding young man and is on his way to play college football at the next level.    He is the epitome of “Adversity Breeds greatnessâ€Â and I am very proud of this young QB.    Christian Marantis my man.   JFK plays Cuyahoga Heights this Saturday.
