All-American Breakfast; Drake-Phillis-Sink

Sometimes in business it is just great to settle back for a couple of hours and relax with 2 of your Great Ones.   That’s what I did yesterday at the Original Pancake House in Upper Arlington, Ohio.   I arrived at 9:01 am, and within a few minutes Jared Drake, the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year in Ohio came rolling in looking as fit as I have ever seen him.    He is 6’1†and weighing 213 lbs and has all, if not more of that 4.5 40 speed back.   A few minutes after, only because he was caught in traffic, Will Phillis, the 2015 Offensive Player of the Year in Ohio, joined us looking just as fit, at 6â€3†220 lbs.  Both of these guys were working out together with me, Coach Sink the night before along with some other talented receivers at Hilliard Bradley HS football field in Hilliard Ohio, where Will played his HS football under Mike Loparo.

I though when both of these guys sat down, I am sitting with 2 potential NFL Stars and have another starting for U of Albany this year and that is Griffin Dahn my 6’5†235lbs. QB.   I am a blessed man, and have had the privilege to be the coach of some incredible talented and young men who are committed to the long haul with great perseverance and tenacity and work ethic that will take them to the top no matter what they end up doing in life.   We sat there and laughed over all three of us skipping school for various questionable reasons, and just plain enjoying  each others accomplishments and shared in each others struggles.

Will leaves today to be the QB for Wagner University in Staten Island, NY and Jared is off to Western Illinois in Mcomb, Illinois to be the MrAll Everything for them.   Pictured above Is Will Phillis and Coach Sink and then Jared Drake who had to bail on the photo-op, because he was taking his girl friend Kelcey fishing.  Sure he Did !!!!

This is one of the times in my life I know I will not forget.   Great times with great young men and I can’t wait to see them and several of my other guys in the NFL achieving their dreams….. A Proud Coach Sink
