Johnny Caprella my star 2019 QB from Lima Shawnee HS in Lima Ohio is absolutely doing a great job of taking on all challengers at the prestigious ESPN Elite 11 Camps.  Already scoring an 85.8 rating at the Nashville Camp a few weeks ago, Caprella out did himself and everyone else in the camp except the MVP Max Duggan (headed to TCU) and one other by scoring an incredible 94.38 which is in the top 1% in the USA.  He also beat Duggan in Nashville where he was third and Duggan was fourth.  The crowd watched while Johnnyand Max had quite a dual and honestly it could have gone either way. Johnny Caprella is certainly in the running for the finals, when the best of the best are called up to compete against each other.  I am so proud of this young man who has one year of Varsity football under his belt with more than difficult adversity and will finish his high school career under a great coach who is moving back to Ohio so he can coach Johnny.  That isCoach Cooper who will be coming to Lima from Sevierville Tenn. and already has a State Championship in the Buckeye State when he coached at Lima Central Catholic.  Johnny Caprella one of the top prospects in the Nation for the 2019 class.
Lucas Pierce my star 2019 WR from Newark Catholic is becoming a favorite target for Johnny Caprella in a fast hurry. Both of these guys are similar in build and athleticism.  Lucas being 6’3†and 197 lbs and Johnnybeing 6’2†and 197 lbs. and both can run, jump, and cut with about anyone in High School football.
Lucas has been working very hard this spring and speed training with my buddy Reggie Germany (Former NFL and OSU star receiver) and according to Reggie, has his speed in the low 4.5 or high 4.4 area in his 40 Yd dash time.  Lucas has also been one of those receivers who just doesn’t get enough of Coach Sink’s workouts, so he travels regularly with Sink to sessions with top QBS all over the Midwest and is making a big name for himself as he goes.   I am very proud of  Lucas Pierce as in this, his first ever Elite 11 camp he scored a fabulous 83.58 which is in the top 10 % of all wide receivers in these camps even though you could definitely say there were NO HOLDING calls in the entire camp. He battled through every route and certainly held his own against some talented and experienced Camping DBacks.  Lucas is going to be playing football in college and I can’t wait to see the outcome.
