It just keeps coming for our fabulous NAVY QB. Blake Horvath was awarded yesterday the Academic First team All-American Division One Scholar-Athlete of the year, and Academic All-American Division one Player of the year. I believe that puts him in a class by himself! If there is another award this young man could win, it is certainly hard to imagine.
Blake finished the year with 1580 yards passing and 12 TDS and 1200 yards rushing with 16 more TDS, This makes Horvath the # 4 QB in Navy history with a total of 60 responsible TDS passing and rushing, and #1 all time in a single game rushing and passing with 469 yards, which he did this year against Air Force. An incredible College career for a guy that deserves all these awards and more.
You see, Blake Horvath LOVES the game of football to the point of never giving up trying to get better every day. The future is bright for this young man and his football skills and knowledge are off the charts, so here comes the next chapter. Whoever or wherever he plays, it won’t take him long to show the rest of the world how much he loves to play this game. Speed, quickness, and toughness he brings with him to every practice and game I have seen him play and that is most of them, so we look forward to turning the page. Coach Sink
