My outstanding athlete and WR/QB is headed to Eastern Kentucky where he will visit Saturday and watch the 5-4 Colonels play Robert Morris U.  Lucas Pierce, what a player, 6’3†195 lbs with 4.55 speed in the 40, had to give up playing his Wide Receiver spot in the middle of his senior year, to move to QB because of the loss of Newark Catholics fine Junior QB Matt Carlisle who sustained a shoulder separation.   Not many kids would be this unselfish, but Lucas is not just a normal kid.  This 3.74 GPA Advanced student with an ACT of 23, said to his Head Coach Ryan Aiello, “Whatever you need me to do I will do to help the teamâ€.  Now that’s the kind of kid that you want playing for you at the next level on your college team.
We are purposely putting his highlight film up so you can see how versatile this young athlete is. He didn’t just play QB, he excelled at it as you can see from the clips. Here is the link to watch Lucas Pierce at both the WR and QB position. http://www.hudl.com/v/2ApcAr  He already has several offers but is still undecided as to where he wants to go.
Maybe Eastern Kentucky will help him decide this Saturday.  I know this, one of the finest young men I have ever coached will be a big success in life or at the next level where ever he decides to go.  Great job Lucas Pierce.
