Freshman Evan Unruh does it again !!

I don’t know what my Freshman QB from Elida HS in Elida, Ohio is eating or drinking but I think this just might be in his genes. Week after week this young QB of mine is writing the record book at a very storied football program in the Lima, Ohio area.   I am incredibly proud of what Evan Unruh has already accomplished and I do not believe he is done yet but just starting on his way to stardom.   Player of the game again, Unruh, who is from a very athletic family, brings his team from the brink of disaster to a victory.  Friday he was down 42 to 17, before the missile attack byEvan.   His stats totaled 326 yards passing with 1 INT but 4 TDS and brought his HS back to victory at 46 to 42 over a very good Defiance HS Team.

The game offensively for Elida, went something like this.   A 55 yard TD pass from Evan to one of his outstanding WRS, Keyshawn Spivey, (Just before Keyshawn turned his ankle, but not to worry, Elida fans — he will be back shortly).  Not to be out done by Keyshawn,  WR on the other side of the field, Arzaiah Little took the next pass from Unruh to the house from 18 yards. Then Little, thought he should make up for his fallen buddy, so he takes the next punt 50 yards to pay dirt, then takes another sweep 65 yards to the end zone.  Arzaiah , wasn’t quite done yet, he decided to catch another Evan Unruh pass for 62 more yards and another TD. In order to spread the wealth a little more, Evan hits his outstanding running back Marcel Poe over the middle and Marcel did the rest of the damage by a side step here and there, and another juke, then a big cut back at the 20 for the final Elida TD, covering another 64 yards.   Elida amassed 443 yards from all these guys who work very hard with Coach Sink, even the day after the game or after practice.   Who says hard work doesn’t pay off?    Not ME !!   Evan Unruh player of the game again this week.   Way to go Freshman.
