After attending the Ohio Dominican Camp last week both Lucas Pierce my outstanding 6’3” WR from Newark Catholic HS and my incredible 6’2” QB from Lima Shawnee HS, Johnny Caprella received offers from ODU, one of the top D2 programs in the country. Both of these guys had excellent outings and teamed up regularly for TD after TD in the 7 on 7’s and one on ones at their camp. Pierce is one of the most accurate route runners I have had and has extreme quickness and ability to change directions on a dime after catching the ball, so he is hard to bring down when packing the football. Caprella is maturing into one of the most powerful and accurate QB’s in the entire class of 2019 in the country. He made the final throw of the Ohio State camp in the Woody indoor facility delivering a 57 yard missile to one of the top WR’s in the camp, placing the rifled 2 ball on the outside shoulder away from the defensive back in prefect position for only the WR to make the catch. Johnny is anticipating an offer from U of Buffalo after having another bang up camp there last night. He could also get an offer from Bowling Green and is not out of the running for a second 2019 QB offering at the University of Kentucky.
Lucas has also picked up a second offer from another great D2 school, Walsh University from Canton Ohio where another of my QBS, Kaleb Jarrett will be the QB there starting this fall.Walsh makes their home at the fabulous new facility at the Pro Football Hall of fame. whoever ends up with either one of these fine athletes will be pleasantly surprised as both are under the radar and will make some college coaches look pretty smart when it comes time for these guys to step between the lines. Incredibly proud of both of these guys.
