Josh Stewart Drills Kilbourne 63-14

Josh Stewart 6’2 210 lbs. my outstanding Senior QB at Hilliard Bradley HS, Hilliard, Ohio put together a game to be remembered for a lifetime. From the first drive he was in charge of an offense that was on high octane.  Josh and his 2 amigos pictured above, Kory Taylor WR and Daevon Anderson WR, put the game out of reach early. His first two drives ended in TD’s to his fine running backs, Jack Richards and Grant Beuhl of 6 yards and 1 yard.   Josh then threw a fabulous fade to the back pylon and Daevon caught it tip toeing in the corner of the end zone. Next drive, Josh took off from the 33 yard line and blew by everyone to stick it in the end zone untouched—- end of 1st quarter 28 to 7Bradley.

2nd quarter brought nothing new but more of the same—- Josh dropped back just past the 50 and threw a rocket ball to Daevon who put a little dip in his route and caught it stepping into pay dirt again while the 2 defensive backs watched with admiration. The next drive saw Kory Taylor make a spectacular one hand catch in the back of the end zone on a perfect skinny post. The ref didn’t see it as I (nor the rest of the Bradley faithful) did—so, he would not allow the catch. Well, that proves the ref’s don’t get it right every time.!!!   Didn’t matter, Josh Stewart, threw another perfect fade to the other pylon, and who else, but Daevon Anderson caught it again smoothly stepping over that back Pylon.  Josh  took it upon himself again to run the ball into the end zone from the 6 yard line for his final points of the night.  Score, Bradley 49 Worthington Kilbourne 14 (where Josh transferred from last year).   Oh!! I failed to mention that was at the half.

That right, 5 TDs (3 passing and 2 running) and 208 yards passing with a 75% completion on the night and Josh’s night was over, but what a night!!!!  As Josh will be the first to tell you Football is a team sport —- Mike Owens, the fine young OC at Bradley did a great job calling the plays for head coachMike Laparo, and the Big Boys up front did an awesome job protecting along with the Jaguars teeth glaring defense that pretty much shut down everything except Elijah Young who is a speedster and an outstanding kick and punt returner.

Congratulations Josh Stewart and his Jaguars on a near perfect night.
