Barko and Hay Team up, Reynoldsburg in the Playoffs

Quarterback Nate Barko finishes the season with a flurry, and with the help of a couple of great running backs and offensive line and defense  that is improving by the week and a bevy  of WRs that should be all College bound to play football, has taken his team to the Ohio State Playoffs.  They are on their way for the first time in 14 years but in my opinion, won’t be the last.   Coach White has some seriously  talented athletes and  has done maybe his best job of coaching in his career, this year.   I have really enjoyed helping his passing game and my hat is off to the offensive coordinator who has used that passing game to the best of his ability, and wow is it working.   I have to smile when I think back about what coach White said to me in the spring.  He looked at me after watching our work out and said, “What are you doing?  You are going to make me have to throw the football this year.â€Â Â Â  MY answer was, “Yup, I sure hope soâ€Â  and I smiled.   Well, smart guys are the ones that figure it out and he sure has.

Nate Barko, one of my Star Junior  QBs, lit it up once again and got some help from Jordan Hay WR, Martee Morse WR, J J Cooper WR, and Justice Landers WR.   Martee and Nate got the air attack started in the first Quarter by catching another  TD pass from Barko of 46 yards which made it 17 to 0 over Groveport Madison.  Shortly into the second quarter, Nate hit another one of his great receivers 6’4†Jordan Hay for a 29 yard reception

In the end zone.  Making the score 24 to 0.   I need to mention Cameron Young one of the fine RBs for the Raiders as well as he finished the game with 131 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Nate Barko went 17 for 29 and 2 TD passes and a total of 215 yards passing and again had no interceptions.

Nate is blossoming into one of the top QBs in the state and maybe in the nation.  He does a great job of quickly seeing his reads and making good decisions and if no one is open, has the speed to take it to the house as well.   WE are excited about his future football success.

Good luck boys in the playoffs as it looks like Reynoldsburg  will play Huber Hts. Wayne this Saturday night. I for one think this is going to be a big time match up and would not be surprised if Reynoldsburg gets the upset.
