The picture sounds like a new law firm but it is Coach sink taking a day to see his 2 QBS from Heath HS in Heath Ohio preform at camp. Ashland U. is an outstanding D2 program located just an hour north of Columbus and has won National championships in their division.
This was a QB and WR camp only so both of these guys got plenty of reps from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm and both did an outstanding job for their grade levels. Brayden Bayles was the dominate QB and the most athletic QB in the entire camp and threw the ball almost flawlessly the whole day. Brayden will be traveling to Miami of Ohio on Friday and next week to Kent State for their very large camp next Friday. We are looking forward to his Senior year at Heath where he already is the leading passer in the schools history. You will see Brayden play College Ball next year for sure.
Leo Smith met us at the side line with his head coach from Heath Tim Ward, and promptly told us he was the Best Freshman QB at the Ohio University Camp, then he paused and said, “But, I was the only Freshman QB at the camp.” We all had a BIG laugh but he was anything but a laugh at the camp. I was extremely proud of Leo and he ended up the best throwing Freshman among a host of first year guys at the Ashland camp. He is a blessed young man to be able to spend his first season of varsity football playing behind Brayden Bayles and receiving daily coaching from such an accomplished Senior QB.
Tim Ward certainly has some outstanding young talent including these 2 and his freshman Son, Joe WR who didn’t look like a Freshman but a mature HS WR catching the ball in Ashland today. Heath Football is on the rise. Pictured above L to R is Leo Smith, Coach Sink, and Brayden Bayles.
