Due to a good snow storm in Ohio I was not able to attend either Hilliard Bradley nor Westerville Centrals signing days but they are always a wonderful experience for my guys that I have coached for several years. The snow closed both schools on signing day so they were delayed and I was out of town for both. Here is pictured the 3 Graduating seniors that I worked on a regular basis from Hilliard Bradley and all of which will be playing football and getting there college paid. Left to right is QB Josh Stewart who will be playing for West Virginia Wesleyan, Daevon Anderson, who will be playing for Grand Valley State, and Kory Taylor, who will be playing for Purdue. I am so proud of these guys who put the work in to be 3 awesome football players and be recognized not only in their conference but all of which were had All- State recognition in Ohio. Congratulations to Bradley’s head coach Mike Loparo, who was also Coach of the Year in the State and deservedly so.
Not pictured is QB Isaiah Healy from Westerville Central who will be playing for Ohio Dominican U right here in Columbus and I know his Coach Kelly Cummings is looking forward to coaching this dual threat talent for the next 4 or 5 years. Also from Westerville Central is the outstanding running back Allen Smith who will get a scholarship as well by playing football at the prestigious Brown University out of the Ivy League. There is nothing that is as rewarding in my life as watching the development of young boys into fine young men and outstanding football players and getting them substantial scholarships all across the country to get their education and play our great sport. In my career as a football coach , I have lost track of the exact number of kids I have helped get scholarships but in D1&2 alone the number has now past 100. That includes players playing in conferences from coast to coast and it humbles me to know I have been able to touch that many lives, hopefully in the right way. I am certainly blessed in what I do.
A special thanks goes to my partner GES Advisory and Shem Schembechler for all the sensational help with Isaiah Healy, Josh Stewart and Kory Taylor for his part in the recruiting process that got them these fabulous scholarships.
