I just returned from the finest convention, I have ever attend for the American Football Coaches Association. Nearly 7,000 members worldwide gathered for mental, spiritual, and physical training under the direction of our incredible leaders Grant Teaff Executive Director and Tommy Tuberville our President.
High School , College and Pro coaches gathering for the sole purpose of learning and teaching the great game of football but even more important the great game of life. How to inspire our young men to be special leaders and carry on the torch for our great game and lead others to a better life for having participated.
Everyone is working toward the  goal of protecting our young athlete’s, making the game safer for all who choose to play it, yet keeping it competitive in every way. The above photo shows the achievement of the yearly goal for all college teams. From left to right is the Division 3 National Championship Trophy, next the Division 1 FCS Championship Trophy, next THE D1 National Championship Trophy (which is now on its way to Tuscaloosa, Congratulations to the Crimson Tide and Nick Saban on his 5th), next the Division 2 National Championship Trophy and last but not least The NAIA National Championship Trophy . All of these were displayed beautifully at our Coach of the Year Dinner Tuesdaynight. These symbolize the goal for a year but pale greatly next to what was achieved in thousands of young men’s lives for having played THE Game.
Keep watching the site for more on the fabulous three days that I love to spend each year increasing and sharing my knowledge and experience with other coaches doing the same.
