When the Midshipmen from Navy stepped on the field Saturday, it was all business. QB Blake Horvath and his men all showed up and immediately started to carve up their opponent, a good football team from Charlotte U. The first drive was methodical and steady with the whole backfield, but especially Tecza who finished the drive with a 46-yard TD catch from a bullet throw from Blake Horvath and it was 7-0 before most blinked twice but, ended the 73-yard opening drive. What we are now getting used to, as Navy supporters.
This wasn’t a one man show, however, Tecza brought his A game as did the entire defense lead by Deshaun Peele and his 2 pick 6’s; one for 61 yards and one for a spectacular 84 yards. The balance of the first half was plenty more of the same with Horvath running and throwing and Tecza running and catching. As you speak to Blake’s teammates, they all say Blake is our leader, Blake is in charge, on the field and we love to follow him, he knows this game.
the midshipmen were definitely in control with a half time score, Navy leading 38 to 10 and a final score of 51 to 17. Blake ended the day with 3 more TD passes and 117 yards, passing.
You might want to plan on this date; Saturday Oct. 26, with a starting time of noon EST.

I, for one like my QB and his Navy team’s chances. So proud of Blake Horvath. Coach Sink.
