As I tell all of my QBs when we start this journey, it is just that, A JOURNEY, not an overnight stay. My Big pro prospect Griffin Dahn 6’6†240 lbs.bought in and man has he been proving he can play. He went all the way to California to play JUCO ball for American River Junior College in Sacramento. He was grey shirted his first year and not very happy about it. However, he made the best of it by being in the press box during every game and helped call the plays. He told me “coach, the experience was unbelievable and I learned so much about the defenses I would face the next year.â€Â  You see what happens when we keep our attitudes right and make the best of the worse situations.
This past season Griffin took over the helm as QB and lead his team to the North Half Championship and in the final game fell only 2 points short of winning the prestigious California State Championship, but became offensive player of the game. Â By the way, this year was the first time American River has made it to the Championship and it took a Buckeye QB to do it. J
Jay Norvell and his high flying offense at the University of Nevada just made an official offer to Griffand he is headed there Thursday for an official visit.
He has some other offers but it is very intrigued by this wide open offense that throws the ball 30 or 40 times a game. I am so proud of what he has accomplished but I believe this may be the stepping stone he needs to make the journey complete to the NFL.  I can easily visualize him playing on Sunday.
Can’t wait to see the next part of his journey.    Coach Sink
