Nate Barko and Reynoldsburg win a thriller in Double Overtime

It was a play Reynoldsburg High School football coach Buddy White drew up this summer, and ran through with his Raiders plenty in preseason practice.

While White knew he would use 6-foot, 250-pound senior fullback Nigel Chatman in a goal-line situation at some point this season, he didn’t plan on doing so in the opener Aug. 28 at New Albany.  From Columbus Dispatch article by Dave Purpura  See more at this link - http://www.thisweeknews.com/content/stories/sports/2015/08/28/football-week-1-game-recap-reynoldsburg-new-albany.html

Nigel scored both TDs in both overtimes to win 48 to 42.  Nate Barko our outstanding Junior QB had a great night as well with 2 TD passes to J J Cooper of 26 and 17 yards and a 13 yard TD run of his own.   During the game crucial catches were made by Martee Morse, Justice Landers, and Jordan Hey that are regulars at the Coach Sink workouts on Raider Field.   Nate was 14 of 22 and 170 yards passing and we are proud of the way he is progressing as a top QB.

Congratulations to Coach White and all the guys on the Raiders for this great opening victory.
