Minnesota / Walsh Camp Huge Success

QB Isaiah Healy and WR Ashton Gilkey from Westerville Central in Westerville, Ohio and WR Daevon Anderson  from Hilliard Bradley HS in Hilliard Ohio, and my brand new 2019 QB Trevor Bycznski from Berea made the trip to the beautiful facilities at the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.  Healy, Gilkey, and Anderson did a short 30 minute work out before the camp for Minnesota  OC Kirk Ciarrocca, Head Coach P J Fleck and Offensive Line Coach Ed Warinner.  All three guys preformed at a high level and even GES President Shemy Shembeckler the Coaches were very impressed but then it was time to get down to the business of taking over the camp.

Isaiah came with guns a blazing and absolutely became the “Talk of the Camp†by all the coaches that were watching the QB’s.  He delivered time and time again an array of bullets whether it be Curls, comebacks, outs, slants, post corners, fades, Digs, or the one that topped them all, was his 60 yard Post corner Post to Ashton for one of the late TDs.  He and Daevon and Ashton hooked up  for multi TDs throughout the entire one on one portion of the camp. I believe all three of the guys will reap offers from this camp and more.   Ashton also caught a comeback to the outside that was a miraculous catch, laying out, hands extended with both feet in bounds on the side line where Isaiah could not see him when he let it go, (due to too many receivers standing between them) but threw to the spot where he knew Ashton would be. The crowd of coaches let out a roar of approval as the catch was made.

I was incredibly proud, as well, of my knew 6’5†student from Berea HS in Berea Ohio.  Trevor Bycznski went directly from an hour and a half session with me to the camp and never wilted at all, after delivering 500 + balls.   He threw some powerful balls with that tight spiral that all of coach Sink’s boys throw and placed the ball very well during the one on ones and stood up big against all the other QB’s including the Seniors.  We are looking for some great things this fall from this very talented young man.

The entire Camp went great and look for an awesome report on Mark Waid from Girard who is at West Virginia today and Isaiah Healy who will be at Western Michigan tomorrow.
